Preparation Method :
- Add yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar along with water in a bowl. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Whisk egg with milk and remaining sugar in a bowl and keep aside.
- Sieve flour; add salt, garlic and egg mixture and gently knead into medium soft dough. Apply little oil on the dough, cover with a damp cloth and set aside for an hour to make it soft and pliable.
- Divide dough into 12-16 equal sized portions. Cover and let it rest for one more hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C /350 °F /Gas 4.
- Roll each dough ball on a floured surface into 5-6 inch diameter disc. Pull it from one side to get elongated shape of a naan.
- Cook in the preheated oven for 3 minutes and brush lightly with butter and turn them over and again cook them until they slightly puff and turn golden.
- Remove and serve hot with melted butter.

- 500 grams all-purpose (refined) flour
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped Garlic
- 1 teaspoon dry Yeast granules
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 100 ml Milk
- 1 Egg, lightly beaten
- Salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons IDHAYAM Sesame oil
