BUTTER NAAN

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to High. Place a baking sheet on the uppermost shelf to heat through.
  • Mix all the dry ingredients. Make a well in the middle and add the wet ingredients with half a cup of water. Knead until smooth dough.
  • Roll out into naan breads. Pat off any excess flour and place the breads on the hot baking sheet
  • Cook for 5 minutes or until brown spots form on the upper surface.
  • Brush with the melted butter to soften and brighten the surface and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams plain flour
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml plain yogurt
  • 25 grams melted butter  
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
