CORIANDER LEAF POWDER (KOTHAMALLI PODI)

Preparation Method :

  • In the frying pan heat the oil and fry the black gram dal, Bengal gram dal, asafoetida powder and red chillies till the dals turn golden.
  • Add tamarind and salt. Powder fine with the coriander leaves.
  • Serve with plain rice and ghee.
  • Store in an airtight container and use as required.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams coriander leaves, dry roasted
  • 3 tablespoon black gram dal
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Bengal gram dal
  • 1 teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • 9 dry red chillies
  • A marble-sized tamarind ball
  • Salt to taste
