TAPIOCA SAVOURY WAFERS

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil and grind tapioca to a fine paste.
  • Grind chili, asafetida, onions and salt to a fine paste. Mix it in half a cup of water and strain.
  • Knead the rice flour with little water.
  • Mix the rice dough, tapioca paste and the masala water to a fine paste. Cook over slow fire. Allow it to cool.
  • Press through a mould into desired shapes on a wet cloth. Dry it in the sun.
  • Remove the wafers by sprinkling water on the wrong side of the cloth.
  • Dry them again in the sun and store the dried crisp in a air-tight containers.
  • Deep fry when required.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Tapioca
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 tablespoon fine rice flour
  • Chili, to taste
  • A pinch of Asafetida
  • 1 tablespoon onion paste
  • Salt to taste
