PAZHA MANGA CURRY

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
35 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Peel the mangoes. Cook mangoes with the green chillies, turmeric, salt and water for 10 minutes.
  • Grind the coconut with shallots, chillies, turmeric, cumin seed and water to a fine paste.
  • Add this to the cooked mangoes. Add salt and water.
  • Heat for about 5 minutes and remove from fire before it begins to boil.
  • Heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot put in the mustard seeds.
  • When it starts to crackle, add the sliced shallots, curry leaves and broken red chillies.
  • Saute till the shallots turn brown in colour.
  • Add this to the curry and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 nos. Ripe Mangoes
  • 50 grams Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon Salt

For gravy

  • 300 grams Grated coconut
  • 6 nos Shallots,  cut into pieces
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seed
  • 4 teaspoon Salt

For tempering

  • 3 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 teaspoon Mustard
  • 25 grams Shallots
  • 4 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 4 Dried red chillies
