MANGAACHAR

Preparation Method :

  • With a sharp knife, skin the mango, though not necessarily fully. Without cutting through the seed, peel away the flesh and cut into tiny pieces.
  • Soak in a little salt water and keep overnight.
  • Heat oil, and fry the mustard and fenugreek. When the mustard is almost done popping, remove from flame and let cool slightly. Stir in the chilli powder. If the oil is too hot, the chilli powder will get burnt.
  • Put in the salted mango pieces, add the asafoetida and stir well. Store in airtight jars.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Green Mango
  • 2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon Mustard
  • 2 teaspoon Fenugreek
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • 5 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
