KAI WARATHATHU (BANANA FRY)

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Slice the dried bananas into thin round sections of even thickness.
  • Deep fry the slices in hot oil till crisp.
  • Sprinkle a little salt water into the oil, just before lifting the wafers from the oil.
  • Stir on so that the salt is evenly absorbed by the wafers.
  • When the splutter subsides lift the chips from the oil and drain off the oil.
  • When cool store in air-tight containers to keep it fresh and crisp.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams bananas not too mature, pare, washed and dried
  • Cooking oil for frying
