CHAKKAKURU MEZHUKKU PURATTIATHU (GRILLED JACKFRUIT SEEDS)

Preparation Method :

  • Grind coriander, chili powder and turmeric powder to a paste.
  • Smear the slices with the masala paste.
  • Cook the sliced seeds with curry leaves, ginger and little water. When the seeds are cooked adjust seasoning with salt to taste.
  • Fry mustard in hot oil and sauté onion. Add in the prepared seeds and the crushed pepper. Cook till it gets dry.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Jackfruit seeds, peeled, cut into long slices and washed
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 30 grams onion slices
  • ½ teaspoon pepper crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger finely chopped
  • Salt to taste 
  • A few curry leaves
