ONION PAKORA

Preparation Method :

  • Mix in the bowl the onions, ginger and garlic paste, ground turmeric and chilli, green chilli, curry leaves, cumin and ajowan seeds, asafoetida and salt.
  • Add flour, egg and water, mix well to make a thick mixture. Take small amounts of the mixture, dip it in to the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
  • Serve with tomato sauce and sprinkle some chat masala on the top.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams onion, finely sliced
  • 200 grams chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground red chilli, not hot
  • 2 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon ajowan seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2eggs
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Peanut oil for deep frying
  • Pinch of chat masala to serve
