MALABAR PRAWN CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Mix prawns, tomato, potato, coconut, onion, ginger, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, fish tamarind, water, salt and cook.
  • Add only a little water, when done the gravy should coat the prawns.
  • Temper with oil, mustard, coconut, dry chillies and add to the curry. The grated coconut should be well-browned.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Prawns 
  • 100 grams Tomato chopped 
  • 100 grams Potato diced 
  • 100 grams Grated coconut 
  • 100 grams Onions sliced long 
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger sliced long 
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander powder 
  • ⅛ teaspoon Turmeric powder 
  • Fish tamarind (kudampuli) 
  • As sufficient water
  • Salt to taste 
  • 15 ml IDHAYAM Sesame oil 
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard 
  • 1 dessert spoon Grated coconut 
  • 2 Dry chillies
