KONJU MASALA

Preparation Method :

  • Clean and wash the prawns.
  • Mix all the other ingredients except curry leaves and the oil.
  • Stir together the prawns and the spice mix and simmer over low flame, covered. Do not cook more than ten minutes, else the flesh will get tough and rubbery.
  • Heat oil and fry curry leaves in a shallow pan.
  • Pour the cooked prawns and gravy into the oil and stir fry dry.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Tiger prawns
  • 1" Ginger, crush
  • 20 Small onions, crush
  • 10 Garlic, crush
  • 10 Dry Red Chillies, crush
  • 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 100 ml Coconut oil
  • 1 no Kokum
  • Salt to taste
