DRIED PRAWN ULARTHU

Preparation Method :

  • Cook prawns in 2 cups of water. Before it cooks dry add 3 pieces of fish tamarind. Remove with ¼ cup of stock and pick out the prawns.
  • Crush dry chillies, garlic pepper and red onions together. Heat coconut oil and fry mustard and curry leaves.
  • Add crushed ingredients and turmeric powder. Add the cooked prawns and ¼ cup stock. Let the prawn absorb the liquid and when oil separates remove and serve cold.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Clean and wash prawns / 300 grams dried prawns 
  • 4 Dry chillies 
  • 12 Garlic flakes crushed with skin 
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper 
  • ¼ Red onions peeled 
  • ⅛ teaspoon Turmeric powder 
  • 50 ml Coconut oil 
  • 50 grams Mustard 
  • 2 stalks Curry leaves 
  • 50 ml Prawn stock 
  • Salt to taste
