DRIED PRAWN IN GRATED COCONUT

Preparation Method :

  • Grind turmeric and crush grated coconut.
  • Crush the onions, chillies and ginger coarsely. Mix all these with curry leaves, fish tamarind, cooked prawns, salt and the prawn stock.
  • Then add little water used for soaking the tamarind.
  • Add coconut oil and cook until all the water is absorbed.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams of dry prawn cleaned, washed and cooked in 400 ml of water and removed with 100 ml of stock.
  • 300 grams Cooked prawns 
  • 1 small piece Turmeric 
  • 250 grams Grated coconut 
  • 120 grams Red onions sliced long 
  • 25 grams Green chillies sliced round 
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger sliced long 
  • As sufficient Curry leaves
  • Fish tamarind (kudampuli)
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 dessert spoon Coconut oil
