KAPPA & ERACHI

Preparation Method :

  • Peel the tapioca, and scrub well in cold water.
  • Chop the tapioca into large chunks. Remove the veins.
  • Bring salted water to the boil, stir in the turmeric powder. Put in the tapioca and boil till soft and well done. Drain.
  • Mix into the minced beef or mutton the chilli, turmeric, coriander and cumin powders, and the ginger garlic paste. Add salt. Cover and cook over low flame.
  • Heat coconut oil, fry the mustard seeds, whole red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Put in the chopped onions and green chillies. Over medium heat fry the mixture till well and brown. Add the cooked meat, stir.
  • Put in the cooked tapioca chunks, sprinkle a little water, mix thoroughly, cover and simmer over low flame for five minutes. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Tapioca
  • 1 kg Beef
  • 500 grams Small Onions,Finely chopped
  • 15 Green Chillies
  • 10 Dry Red Chillies
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 3 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 5 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 spring Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
