TIN-FISH VEVICHATHU

Preparation Method :

  • Soak chilli powder in ¼ cup of water. Open tin-fish, remove oil and take out the fish.
  • Heat oil and fry mustard and fenugreek. Add soaked chilli powder and saute on slow fire. When the oil separates add the tamarind water and all the other ingredients.
  • When the curry boils gently ladle the tinned fish into it and mix by tilting the pan. When the gravy thickens remove. Keep it open until it is cooled.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Tin fish
  • 30 ml Cooking oil
  • 2 pinches Mustard
  • 1 pinch Fenugreek
  • 10 grams Chilli powder
  • Fish tamarind (Kudaimpuli) to taste 
  • Salt to taste
  • 200 ml Water in which the tamarind is soaked
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger sliced long 
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic flakes 
  • Few Curry leaves
