SPECIAL FISH CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the mustard seeds and fenugreek and wait for them to start to crackle. Add onions, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, green chilli and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add ground spices and mix well together.
  • Add water, salt, tamarind paste and fish
  • Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add thin coconut milk, cover and cook for 10min Add thick coconut milk and cook further 5 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams salmon, skinned and cut into cubes
  • 5 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 medium sized onions, sliced
  • 4 teaspoon ginger, thinly sliced
  • 4 teaspoon garlic, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoon curry leaves
  • 2 green chilli cut in half lengthways
  • 2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoon fenugreek
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 3 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 3 tablespoon ground paprika, not hot one
  • Salt to taste
  • 500 ml thin coconut milk
  • 250 ml thick coconut milk
