Preparation Method :
- Powder the dry chillies, coriander, fenugreek, pepper corns and turmeric finely.
- Mix it with pearl onions, garlic flakes, ginger, fish tamarind and curry leaves .
- In flat earthenware pot pours little coconut oil and arrange one-third of the sardines in one layer. Sprinkle a portion of the powdered ingredients.
- Arrange the sardines and the masala alternately in layers. Pour water and place on fire. When it boils add salt. Simmer on low heat till the water is absorbed.

- 5 Pepper corns
- 1 small piece Turmeric
- 30 grams pearl onions, sliced very thin

- 1 teaspoon Ginger sliced thin and long
- Fish tamarind (Kudampuli)
- Curry leaves 1 stalk
- 15 grams Coconut oil
- 200 ml Water
- Salt to taste
