MEEN CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil; fry soaked chilli powder.
  • Add and saute the curry leaves, onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  • Pour a half cup of water, stir, add the kokum or a little vinegar; bring to the boil.
  • Place the fish pieces gently into the gravy and twirl the pan to get the pieces covered with the gravy. Optionally one or two large tomatoes may be cut into thick rings and added.
  • Cover and cook over till the oil separates.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Seer fish
  • 15 Small onions, sliced
  • 1 "Ginger, sliced
  • 5 Garlic cloves, sliced
  • 8 Green chillies
  • 5 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 100 ml Coconut Oil
  • 3 sprig Curry leaves
  • 4 Kokum
