DRIED FISH AND COCONUT CHUTNEY

Preparation Method :

  • Heat a heavy-bottomed frying pan ,roast grated coconut, dry chillies, coriander, pepper, fenugreek and curry leaves till the coconut is uniformly browned.
  • Powder, salt and roasted chillies together and then add the other roasted ingredients and powder.
  • When oil comes out from the coconut add the red onions, ginger and tamarind and powder together. Add the dry fish powder and mix well. Store in dry bottles.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams Dried fish - remove bones, wash and dry, fry crisp in oil and powder coarsely
  • 500 grams Finely grated coconut 
  • 15 Dry chillies 
  • ¼ teaspoon Coriander 
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper 
  • 2 pinches Fenugreek 
  • 18 Curry leaves 
  • 6 Small onions 
  • 1 small piece Ginger 
  • Tamarind 
  • Salt to taste
