Preparation Method :

  • Place the coconut and Jaggery together over a slow flame and cook well till dry.
  • Boil the water, salt and ghee.
  • Stir in the rice flour over low flame and mix well to a stiff paste Remove from flame and knead to form a soft dough.
  • Form into small lime sized balls.
  • With the thumb, make small pits in the ball and fill with coconut sugar mixture.
  • Pull the edges close and re-roll into a neat ball. Steam for fifteen to twenty minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams Rice flour
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • 300 grams Grated coconut
  • Jaggery to sweeten the coconut
