SPINACH FRIED

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry onion, ginger and chillies till soft. Add in the remaining ingredients except coconut.
  • Mix well and add in the turmeric powder. Cover tightly and cook, add little water till the spinach and dhal is done.
  • Mash coarsely, put in the coconut and remove from fire. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 90 grams onions, sliced
  • 2 bunches spinach, cleaned and sliced
  • 45 grams shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons masoor dhal, rinsed, soaked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 2-3 green chillies, minced
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • Salt and chilli powder to taste
