DAL MASOOR

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil, fry onion and garlic till soft, put in the ground paste and fry for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder and dhal along with the water. Bring it to boil.
  • Simmer to low flame, then add in the cocums. Cook till done. Serve hot with boiled rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams masoor dhal, washed, soaked and drained
  • 6 cocums, cleaned and washed
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 6 flakes garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • Salt to taste

Ground to Paste

  • 45 grams shredded coconut
  • 3-4 red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
