SPECIAL GRAM TOFFEE

Preparation Method :

  • Beat the eggs, Cream butter with sugar and mix in the egg.
  • Gradually add the semolina. Mix till smooth.
  • Mix the dhal and coconut mixture with all the ingredients and put in a greased ovenware dish.
  • Decorate the top with whole cashewnuts and bake in a moderate oven till done.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg sugar
  • 200 grams butter
  • 225 grams cashewnuts, finely sliced
  • 500 grams gram dhal, cooked and ground to paste
  • 500 grams semolina
  • 1 coconut, grated and ground to paste
  • ½ teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon essence of rose
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • A pinch of salt
