SPECIAL GOAN CAKES

Preparation Method :

  • Beat the yolks and mix into the cooled sugar syrup. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into a dough.
  • Divide the dough into small, round and flat cakes. Arrange on greased tray and bake in a moderate oven till done.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams sugar, Add 200 ml water to a thick syrup
  • 500 grams semolina, dry roasted
  • 1½ coconut, ground to paste
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoon caraway seeds  
  • A pinch of salt
