PUDIM DE COCO

Preparation Method :

  • Place the sugar and water in the flan pan and heat on medium heat until the mixtures carmelizes and turns to medium brown.
  • Place the grated coconut, butter with egg yolks into the blender and blend until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into the flan pan over the caramel and place the flan pan in a water bath in the oven.
  • Place in moderate oven 160°C / 320°F and bake till done.
  • Remove from oven and cool on a rack.
  • Unmold carefully by inverting onto a serving plate at room temperature.
  • Take it off the mould and liberally sprinkle with brandy before serving.
  • Then caramel will cover the top and run down the sides.

  • 150 grams shredded Coconut
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 475 grams Sugar
  • 9 Egg yolks
  • Water
