CANJA DE GALINHA

Preparation Method :

  • Bring the chicken stock to a boil and reduce the flame to a simmer. Add in the chicken, rice and ginger and cook covered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and sauté the onions on a low heat till they turn soft.
  • Add the garlic and when it turns soft, add the green peas. Stir for a minute or two and add the mixture to the simmering stock along with salt.
  • When the chicken and rice are done and the soup thickened, adjust the seasonings. Remove from the heat and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Chicken breast, cut into cubes  
  • 50 grams Chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 50 grams Green peas
  • 500 ml Chicken stock
  • 75 grams Rice
  • 20 grams Chopped ginger
  • 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
