PRAWN CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry onions and garlic till soft and golden.
  • Add the spice paste and Mix well. Put in the prawns and fry till dry. Put in the thin coconut milk.
  • Cook till the prawns are almost done. Add in the tamarind juice and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the thick coconut milk, heat to simmering and remove from fire.
  • Serve decorated with coriander leaves.

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 grams prawns, cleaned, washed and drained
  • 200 ml thin coconut milk
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 200 ml thick coconut milk
  • 50 ml tamarind juice
  • 90 grams onions, sliced

Spice Paste

  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 4-6 flakes garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • A pinch sugar
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Red chillies and salt to taste
