PRAWN BAFFAD

15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and add the onions and tomato, Fry for few minutes or until it turns soft.
  • Add the prawns with the remaining ingredients. Simmer to low flame and cook till the prawns are done. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 grams prawns, cleaned, washed and drained
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 100 grams onions, finely chopped
  • 100 grams tomato, peeled and sliced.

Spice Paste

  • Red chillies, to taste
  • ¾ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • ½ inch piece ginger
  • 3 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon tamarind juice
