KADUG CHAMEEN

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the prawn with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, half of the chopped curry leaves and coconut milk. Keep it as side for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the pan with oil, when hot add the mustard seeds, balance curry leaves whole red chillies and crackle.
  • Then add in the sliced onion, chopped ginger, green chilly and saute for about 3 - 5 minutes.
  • When the onion turns soft add the marinated prawn and cook till the prawns are well cooked. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Prawns
  • 1 Green chilly, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger, chopped
  • 2 Onion, sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon Chilly powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 25 ml Coconut milk
  • 220 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 5 Dry red chillies
  • Fresh Curry leaves   
  • 1 Lime
  • Salt to taste
