- Grind the grated coconut with tamarind. Add water, chilli powder, chopped ginger, turmeric powder, and cut green chilies.
- Drop this mixture into the pan and allow to boil. Add teflam, kokum and simmer.
- When the gravy begins to thicken add the mackerel and adjust seasoning with salt. When done remove from fire.
INGREDIENTS
- 9 Fresh Mackerel, Clean and cut into 3 pieces. marinate with salt.
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 10 - 12 Teflam
- 4 Green chillies, slited
- 350 ml Water
- 2 inches Ginger, Roughly chopped
- 4 dry peels Kokum (dates)
- 300 grams grated Coconut
- 2 teaspoons Chilli powder
- 1 inch ball Tamarind
- Salt to taste
