- Slit the fish on both sides along the bone with a sharp knife to form a pocket. Add salt and keep it aside.
- Take all the ingredients and grind together.
- Now stuff this masala evenly in the pomfret envelope on both sides.
- Heat the oil in a flat bottomed pan and shallow fry.
INGREDIENTS
- 600 grams Pomfret, Cleaned and rinsed
- 75 ml Vinegar
- 10 - 12 Dry chillies
- 7 - 9 Peppercorns
- 10 - 12 flakes Garlic
- 3 Cloves
- ¼ " stick Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon Sugar
- ½"size ball Tamarind
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil to fry
