SHRIMP COOKED WITH GREEN MANGOES

Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a heavy pan and drop in the cumin and dried red chillies. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and stir them on medium heat till they are soft.
- Add the ginger and garlic, stir for a couple of minutes to soften them and add the shrimp, green mango, chillies, turmeric powder and some salt. Toss till the shrimp are pink.
- Pour in 2 cups of water with the sugar and cook for about 10-12 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams Shrimp, cleaned, washed, rub with a bit of salt and keep aside
- 125 grams Green mangoes, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- ¼ teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2-3 Dried red chillies
- 75 grams Chopped onions
- 2 tablespoon Chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoon Chopped ginger
- 2 tablespoon Chopped fresh chillies
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- A pinch Sugar
- Salt to taste
