SALTED FISH BALLS

Preparation Method :

  • Mix together the fish, onions, garlic, chillies, mashed potatoes, black pepper and salt. Taste and adjust the seasonings and shape to lemon-sized balls.
  • Beat the eggs and dip the spiced balls into them and then roll them in the rice flour. Deep fry the balls in hot oil till they are golden.
  • Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain off the excess on an absorbent kitchen paper towel. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams Salted dried cod fish, soaked, drained, boiled and bones discarded
  • 500 grams Boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
  • 225 grams Rice flour
  • 150 grams onions, finely chopped
  • 25 grams garlic, chopped
  • 20 grams fresh chillies, chopped
  • 4 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
  • Salt to taste
  • 3-4 Eggs
  • Cooking oil to deep fry
