Preparation Method :
- Grind the coconut and extract the milk. Keep it aside.
- Grind all the masala ingredients to a fine paste.
- Take a pan add oil and sauté onions till they turn pink.
- Simmer to low flame and add in the ground masala and fry it for about 3 - 5 minutes.
- Add in the extract of coconut juice, stirring constantly.
- When the curry boils, add in the sliced fish and simmer for around 5 minutes or until the fish is cooked.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Pomfret, cleaned and sliced into steaks
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 350 grams Coconut, grated
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
Masala
- 2 tablespoon Coriander seeds
- 6 Peppercorns
- ½ inch Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 Cloves
- 4 flakes Garlic
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Tamarind
- 4 Red chilies
