Preparation Method :
- Add the fish pieces with the spice and keep it aside.
- Mix the ginger paste, garlic paste and the tomato puree in a bowl.
- Heat the ghee in a kadai and add the garam masala and bay leaves.
- Add the onions and stir fry the onion until it is tender.
- Add in the fish pieces, salt and sugar.
- Gently stir before pouring coconut milk. Cover and cook on low flame for about 5 minutes or until the fish is cooked.
- When cooked add the lemon juice and serve with rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 450 grams Ilish fish, sliced and rub with turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
- 500 grams Onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon Chilli powder
- 2 teaspoons Turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Coconut milk
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 Cardamom pods
- 4 Cinnamon stick
- 4 Cloves
- 1 tablespoon Tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- Sugar
- Salt to taste
