GOAN MASALA STUFFED MACKEREL

Preparation Method :
- Clean and rinse the Mackerels and pat dry. Cut along the sides of the bones from head to tail to open like a pocket for the filling. Set aside.
- Blend all the ingredients for the stuffing to a smooth paste.
- Fill each fish with a little paste on either side of the bone.
- Brush with a little oil and grill or broil, gently turning once, until both sides are brown.
- Garnish with lime and tomato slices.
- Serve with rice or chapatti.
INGREDIENTS
- 5 medium Mackerels
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil for basting
- Lemon and sliced tomato for garnish
- Spice paste (stuffing)
- 6 large cloves of garlic
- 1 inch ginger sliced
- 2 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 2 teaspoon hot chilli powder
- 5 tablespoon vinegar
- 4tablespoon coconut powder
- 5 tablespoon minced coriander leaves
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
