FRIED MACKEREL

Preparation Method :

  • Stuff the fishes with the ground mixture. Roll in semolina and shallow fry to a golden colour. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams mackrels, cleaned, washed and incised
  • Semolina for coating

Ground to Paste

  • 1 onion
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • 4-5 red chillies
  • 2-3 flakes garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 15 ml tamarind juice
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
