BANANA LEAF WRAPPED GRILLED FISH

Preparation Method :

  • Mix half the oil with garlic, ginger, chillies, coriander seeds, mint leaves and salt in a bowl. Rub the marinade on the fish and allow to stand for half an hour.
  • Cut the banana leaves into half and rub the remaining oil on the sides. Place the fish on the banana leaf and cover them completely.
  • Seal the edges with a toothpick. Grill them on a hot flame till the banana leaf is dark and crisp. Open and discard the leaves, sprinkle the lime juice and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 Mackerels, cleaned and washed
  • 30 grams Chopped garlic
  • 25 grams Shredded ginger
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM Sesame Oil
  • 4-5 Banana leaves, washed and pat- dried
  • 12 tablespoon Chopped fresh chillies
  • 2 teaspoon Crushed coriander seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped mint leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of two limes
