CRAB CAKES

Preparation Method :

  • Take a pan, heat oil and fry onions till light brown.
  • Add garlic and fry till light brown followed by the chopped tomatoes and green chillies and cook till the tomatoes are cooked and mashed.
  • Add the crab meat and the bread with chilli and clove powder and stir till it leaves the sides of the pan and forms a ball.
  • Adjust seasoning and form into small patties.
  • Beat the egg and dip the cakes into the egg and roll in semolina.
  • Deep fry till golden brown and serve with tomato sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Crab meat, cleaned, marinated with salt and drained
  • ¼ teaspoon Clove powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • A pinch of Chili powder
  • 50 grams Semolina
  • 8 Bread slices, soaked and squeezed
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 2 Onion, Chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 2 Green chillies, Chopped
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste
  • IDHAYAM Sesame Oil for frying
