MANGO CHUTNEY

Makes :
A jar

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Grind chillies, garlic and ginger in vinegar to a fine paste.
  • Add salt and wrap the mangoes in a muslin cloth. Hang it for some time to drain out any liquid.
  • In a pan, take water and make a thin syrup with sugar. Add the prepared garlic paste, mango cubes and raisins. Stir constantly till the syrup begins to thicken.
  • When the consistency is like jam, remove and keep in refrigerator.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Semi-ripe mangoes, Peel and cut into small cubes.
  • 75 grams Dried fruit or raisins
  • 500 ml Water            
  • 420 grams Sugar        
  • 25 grams Garlic    
  • 25 grams Ginger    
  • 225 ml Vinegar
  • 25 grams Red dry chilies    
  • Salt to taste
