Preparation Method :

  • Grind it with the grated coconut and toddy to get a thick batter. Gently stir in the sugar and salt, allow it to stand in a warm place for 2-3 hours to let the mixture ferment and rise.
  • Rub the oil inside a couple of moulds and pour the batter up to half inch below the rim.
  • Steam on medium heat for 15-20 minutes or till the breads are light, fluffy and cooked through.

INGREDIENTS

  • 225 grams Grated coconut
  • 500 grams raw rice
  • 250 ml Toddy
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • A pinch Salt
  • 15 ml Cooking oil
