Preparation Method :

  • In a frying pan add oil, when hot add in the mustard seeds, asafetida, curry leaves, coriander leaves with slited green chillies, turmeric and salt.
  • In a clean pan add ghee, when melted add semolina (rawa) and fry till golden. Keep aside.
  • Mix the fried rawa in the pan of tempered spices and fry. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Now add the grated coconut and green peas / potato cubes and mix well.
  • Add twice the quantity of boiled water to the semolina. Cover until cooked and water dries.
  • Garnish with grated coconut and coriander.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams rawa
  • 45 grams Coconut, grated
  • 400 ml Water    
  • 4 Green chillies, slited        
  • A pinch Asafetida    
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds    
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric    
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 50 grams Green peas or potato small cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee        
  • 1 sprig Coriander leaves, chopped    
  • Sugar and salt to taste
