Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add all the ingredients except turmeric powder, tamarind juice, chilli- coriander powder and salt.
  • Fry till they turn golden brown.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and adjust seasoning with salt and chilli.
  • Cook till it becomes thick like chutney, remove from flame and mix it with rice to serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Cooked Rice
  • 100 ml Tamarind juice
  • 1 litre water
  • 100 grams Udad dhal
  • 75 grams Channa dhal
  • ¼ teaspoon Asafetida
  • 100 ml Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • Red chillies
  • ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 25 grams Groundnuts
  • Ground to Fine Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  • 3-4 Red chillies
