Preparation Method :
- Mix steamed maida flour with urad dhal powder, butter, salt, asafetida powder, sesame seeds and make a dough by adding small quantity of water.
- Keep it aside for about half an hour. Fill the murruku press with the dough.
- Heat the oil in a pan and press the dough onto the oil. Cook till it turns light golden colour.
- Remove and drain it on a kitchen paper towel. Store it in a dry airtight container.
INGREDIENTS
- 225 grams Urad dal, dry fried and powdered
- 50 grams Butter
- 1.5 kg Maida, steamed for about 5-7 minutes without adding water
- 25 grams Sesame seeds
- A Pinch of Asafetida powder
- Salt to taste
- IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut Oil for frying
