ALMOND NANKATHAI

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat oven to 190°C/ 375°F/ Gas mark 5.
  • Mix all the ingredients to coarse dough. Sprinkle some milk if dough seems too dry to hold.
  • Make sure not to knead too much. Shape in small rounds, arrange on baking sheet.
  • Press on almond bit on each cookie in centre.
  • Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until light golden.
  • Remove, cool on a wire mesh till completely cooled.
  • Store it in an airtight container.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams sugar powdered
  • 750 grams plain flour, sifted
  • 220 grams almonds, powdered coarsely
  • 500 grams ghee
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 75 grams halved almonds
  • Warm milk if required
