Preparation Method :

  • Soak channa dal in waer for 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  • In a bowl, mix all theRice Flour, Urad Dal Flour, Chana Dal, Butter, Grated Coconut, Asafetida powder, White sesame seeds, Black sesame seeds, Salt, Crushed Cumin seeds and Red Chilli powder.
  • Add necessary water to make a dough.
  • Divide the dough into small balls.
  • Press all over evenly to make a round disk or roll it with roller pin.
  • Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan, Deep fry the Thattais few at a time.
  • Remove from the oil and keep it n kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams Rice Flour
  • 50 grams soaked Chana Dal
  • 2 Tablespoons Urad Dal Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh grated Coconut
  • ½ teaspoon Asafetida powder
  • 30 grams white sesame seeds
  • 20 grams black sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil, for deep frying
