SHEER

Sheer or Sheer Korma is a sweet dessert, made of milk khoya and sewain. This dish is usually prepared on the Eid day. It can be served hot as well as chilled. Dry fruits and nuts gives rich taste to the dish.
Serves :

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil the milk, and then add sugar & saffron, stirring in between.
  • Add rice powder (soaked in milk).Leave on low flame for about 20 minutes till it thickens.
  • Add khoya & stir occasionally.
  • Now add sewain and all dry fruits, (it will thicken as sewain will be added)
  • Stir once and leave on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder.                                 
  • Cool, chill & serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 liters Milk 
  • 10 pieces Cashew nuts
  • 10-15 pieces Raisins
  • 10-15 pieces Charoli (Chironji) 
  • Chuara 8 pieces soaked in milk (for 2 hours) cut into small pieces
  • 5-6 threads Saffron
  • 200 grams Khoya
  • 2 tablespoons Sewain
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut (grinded)
  • 4 tablespoon Rice powder soaked in cold milk (1 cup)
  • 500 grams Sugar
  • 2-3 Cardamoms green (powdered)
