PEANUT BURFI (VERKADALAI BURFI)

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the sugar in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  • As soon as the sugar melts to a one-string consistency add the peanuts, mix quickly and pour on to the buttered plate.
  • Roll out flat with a buttered rolling pin. Do this quickly before the mixture cools.
  • Cut into squares while still hot. Allow to cool and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams sugar
  • 50 grams ghee
  • 150 grams peanuts, partly broken and roasted
