Preparation Method :
- Add the measured water to the sugar and bring to the boil. Remove the scum. Boil till it becomes a syrup of one-string consistency.
- Remove from the heat and add the saffron and powdered cardamoms. Set aside.
- Add enough water to the Bengal gram flour to make a thick batter of dropping consistency.
- Heat oil. Drop a ladleful of the batter through a skimmer with pea-sized holes. Fry till uniformly golden and crisp. Add to the sugar syrup.
- Fry the cashewnuts and raisins in 2 tablespoon ghee and add to the laddu mixture.
- Add the sugar candy, mix well and cool. Shape into balls.

- 10 cashew nuts, chopped into small pieces
