METHI PAKODA

Preparation Method :

  • Clean and wash the methi leaves thoroughly .Drain completely and chop finely.
  • Make a thick batter by mixing gram flour with enough water.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan and add it to the batter.
  • Add methi leaves, curry leaves, ginger- garlic paste, ajwain, fennel seeds, asafetida, green chillies, onion, cashew nuts and salt and mix well.
  • Heat Idhayam Mantra Peanut oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Take the batter in your hand and spread it on the hot oil.
  • When the pakoda turns golden brown, strain and drain the excess oil on kitchen towels.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 bunches of methi leaves
  • 250 grams gram flour
  • 2 teaspoon of IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoon of ginger - garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon ajwain
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon asafetida
  • 5 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 100 grams small onion,peeled and finely chopped
  • 50 grams cashew nuts, split
  • 2 sprigs curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 250 ml of IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil for deep frying
